Poem: Aliens to Ourselves

Alien interaction
Cerebral satisfaction
Interspecies compassion
A violent reaction

Innocent curiosity
Suspicions ferocity
International calamity
A galactic hypocrisy

Only preconceived notions
Of our visitors motions
Only we feel emotions
And drink the numbing potions

Potions magic horse ridden
Emotions are our burden
Motions of thought forbidden
Notions of a friend, something
hidden

Hypocrisy our defence
Calamity of decadence
Ferocity to protect, intense
Curiosity ringed within a fence

Reaction is to collude
Compassion a weakness to the rude
Satisfaction in being a prude
Interaction that breaks ones solitude
