Poem: Esoterikos

My imaginary friend
has an imaginary friend
Of such a circumstance
Nobody can comprehend
But it is the way of my life

My imaginary friend’s imaginary friend
Cannot contend but tries to pretend
That he is indeed my friend
But when my back is turned
He pulls out a knife to take my life

My imaginary friend says fences can mend
All that is needed is a friendly chat
But that i know will turn into a spat
For now i am armed with a gun
And i stand ready to take that imaginary life

The imagined of the imagined thrusts the knife
I slump forward in pain
I cannot fire for the shame
This is the end of all life
Real or imagined all the same
No more pain and no more shame only silence remains over the silent remains.
